1. Who We Are

North Invoice is a Canadian mobile application designed to help freelancers and small businesses manage invoices, expenses, estimates, clients and bookkeeping documents.

2. Data Storage

By default, all your data — invoices, expenses, client information, estimates and scanned receipts — is stored locally on your device only.

Subscribers may optionally enable Cloud Backup, which securely uploads your data to Google Firebase Storage. Your data is stored under a unique identifier tied to your Google account and is accessible only by you. No one else, including North Invoice, can access your backed-up data.

3. Cloud Backup & Google Sign-In

Cloud Backup is an optional feature available to subscribers. To use it, you sign in with your Google account. We collect only your Google email address, which is used solely to identify your backup storage. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar or any other Google data.

Your backup files are stored on Google Firebase (Google LLC, USA) and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Backups are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and only on Wi-Fi.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

5. Camera & Storage Permissions

Camera permission is used solely to scan receipts and documents. Receipt images are processed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit (on-device — no data is sent to Google servers). Images may be included in your cloud backup if you have enabled that feature.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your cloud backup at any time by signing out and contacting us at the email below. Local data can be deleted by uninstalling the app. Receipt images are automatically removed after 6 years in accordance with standard record-keeping requirements.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

North Invoice offers optional paid subscriptions processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process or store any payment or credit card information.

8. Children's Privacy

North Invoice is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated date.

10. Your Rights (PIPEDA & CCPA)
